During the month of July we create one work per week and post it for presentation and comments. 9 artists are participating so far.

Exquisite Corpse II Exhibition

Absurdas are creating second Exquisite Corpse!
Using a variation of the technique of Surrealists, seven artists are collaborating on silhouettes that are initially cut apart like a puzzle and given to each artist. Without seeing or discussing the approaches the artists are free to explore any medium with their piece. The only rule is to keep the lines of the silhouettes intact.
This is our second Exquisite Corpse, which we will exhibit at the Market Street Gallery together with the first Exquisite Corpse and other new artworks by the artists.

Latest Absurdas project - Exquisite Corpse has been featured on the women artists changing bodies blog.
This blog has a collection of artwork of a variety of media, including film, sculpture, photography. Very interesting images from perspective of subject matter as well as execution.

Absurdas have finished a collaboration project - Exquisite Corps.
Four artists working on the parts of a silhouette without preliminary synchronization and this is the result!

We have in plans to create three more Exquisite Corpse. Read more about the history of this fascinating technique.

Collage Day
